RMK MARINE HAS LAUNCHED T.ELINOR SUCCESSFULLY

RMK MARINE has launched T.ELINOR.successfully by a ceremony conducted on 28th of March 2019. T.ELINOR, the 16.000 Dwt Oil Products&Chemical Tanker with Hull Nr.114 being built for DITAS A.S., the local owner of the Ship, is the second of the 2 tanker orders which RMK MARINE received as the result of the Client’s satisfaction and trust gained with the previously realised a number of tanker and work boat projects. Mr.Adnan Nefesoğlu, RMK MARINE’s CEO, pointed out that the developments in today’s global shipbuilding industry require the building of ships with more environment friendly, high automation and low operational cost features. Thus, RMK MARINE which has set up the required know-how, experience and the capability sets is continuing its efforts to be the preferred shipyard under today’s challenging and competitive global market conditions. Mr. Bilge Bayburtlugil, DITAS’s CEO, also delivered a speech in the launching ceremony. He pointed out the importance of the transportation of asphalt/bitumen and petroleum based products by the marine shipping and gave some examples by figures of the increase in the maritime transportation. Mr.Bayburtlugil added that their target is to increase their asphalt/bitumen and petroleum based products carrying capacity and their means for doing business in this sector. Mr.Bayburtlugil concluded his speech by thanking to both DITAS’s and RMK MARINE’s personnel for their devoted efforts in NB114 Project so far. The ceremony was completed following the launch of T.ELINOR.
